On the Day 1 of 7 Days Kilimanjaro hiking,You will be picked up from your hotel around 08:00 and taken to the Lemosho Gate on the west side of Kilimanjaro. After the registration process, you still begin our steady climb through the forests of the Lemosho Glades to reach Big Tree Camp where you will spend the night.

On the Day 2 of 7 Days Kilimanjaro hiking Today you will cover a lot of ground as you hike across a plateau of grassy moorland and heather dotted with volcanic rock formations. We will trek through Shira 1 Camp from where we often get a glimpse of Kibo Peak floating in the clouds as we approach our destination, Shira 2. We gain reasonable altitude as we move towards Shira 1 and parts of the route are quite steep. If you continue towards Shira 2 you will have the chance to see the northern ice fields from the west side of the mountain with some unusual views of Kibo. Our steady over Kilimanjaro hiking the moorland of the Shira Plateau will help with acclimatization and we will enjoy a great panoramic view.

On the Day 3 of 7 Days Kilimanjaro climbing Your trek begins with an ascent of sweeping panoramic views into the highland desert climate zone and onto the lava ridges beneath the Western Breach glaciers. You will reach the prominent top of the Lava Tower (4640m), our highlight for the day and a great place to enjoy your lunch. In the afternoon we make a steep descent to our camp for the night, situated at the foot of the Great Barranco Valley (3960m), sheltered by towering cliffs but with sweeping views of the plains below during Kilimanjaro climbing .

On the Day 4 of 7 Days Kilimanjaro hiking Our day begins by descending into the beginning of the Great Barranco, a huge canyon. We then descend steeply, up the Great Barranco Wall, which separates us from the southeastern slopes of Kibo. It's a climb over rocks, not technical but long and tiring. Below the Heim and Kersten glaciers we drive towards the Karanga valley. From here we have a steep climb from the Karanga valley to our overnight camp at Karanga camp at 3963m. For those feeling strong we will do an afternoon acclimatization Kilimanjaro hiking to around 4200m before heading back to the mountain for the night descend camp.

On the Day 5 of 7 Days Kilimanjaro climbing After a good night's sleep and breakfast we make our way to Barafu Camp at 4640m. The ascent takes us over desolate screes without any vegetation around us. It's a tough steep walk made difficult by the altitude. Upon arrival at camp we eat and spend the afternoon resting as we prepare for a long night and day. It's important to stay hydrated and warm. We will have an early dinner and then try to get some sleep as we will get up between 23:00 and 12:00 to start the Kilimanjaro climbing ascent to the summit.

On the Day 6 of 7 Days Kilimanjaro hiking We start around midnight and hike steeply uphill to the summit glaciers. We will climb scree for 4 to 5 hours but gain incredible height at close range. The view is spectacular. We should be at the crater rim at Stella Point (5739m) when the first rays of the sun hit us. Spectacular ice cliffs in the crater surround us and the views of the rugged Mawenzi peak and beyond are breathtaking. Another hour's walk brings us to the summit, Uhuru Peak (5895m). We begin our descent by returning to Stella Point and then climb screes and trails back to Barafu Camp for breakfast before finally descending to Millennium Camp for a long, well-deserved rest.

On the Day 7 of 7 Days Kilimanjaro hiking A gentle hike takes us down through the rainforest to Mweka Gate where we complete park formalities and receive certificates to display with pride! We are then collected from our vehicles and returned to the hotel in Moshi for a welcome shower (and a cold beer or two!) Breakfast Lunch before our big celebration after of 7 Days Kilimanjaro hiking .
