On the Day 5 of 6 Days Kilimanjaro climbing We proceed to the summit between the Rebmann and Ratzel glaciers very early in the morning, between midnight and 2 a.m. In order to reach Stella Point on the rim of the crater, you ascend through thick scree in a northwesterly direction. This is the most intellectually and actually testing piece of the trip. If the weather cooperates, you will stop for a brief rest at Stella Point (18,600 feet), where you will be rewarded with the most stunning sunrise you will ever see.
On your one-hour of 6 Days Kilimanjaro climbing ascent to the summit, you may encounter snow from Stella Point all the way up. You have reached the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro and the continent of Africa at Uhuru Peak. From the summit, faster hikers will see the sunrise.
