On the Day 1 of 6 Days Kilimanjaro hiking, You will be picked up from the hotel and driven to Marangu Gate. If you drive to the door you will enjoy excellent views of the mountains. You will then check into the park at the gate with your team of guides and porters. You enter the rainforest, which is the first area of the mountain. In the forest, you can see colorful birds, colobus monkeys and other species of monkeys, as well as mosses, lichens, flowers and delicate orchids. When the sky is clear, you can see the town of Moshi further along the edge of the plain. During this 4-5 hour you will continue to Kilimanjaro hiking through areas of coffee plantations and dense rainforest to Mandara Hut for dinner and overnight.

On the Day 2 of 6 Days Kilimanjaro hiking We leave the rainforest clearings and follow an uphill path further to open moorland and then to Horombo Camp. We will witness breathtaking views of Kibo and Mawenzi. Crossing the alpine zone of the mountain, we will see huge lobelia and grounsel. Here, you are expected to start feeling the effects of the altitude.

On the Day 3 of 6 Days Kilimanjaro climbing The third day is an acclimatization day. It is highly recommended to hike up to Mawenzi Refuge to allow your body to acclimate. This hike increases your chances of reaching Uhuru Peak. With that comes a reward, namely the beautiful view of Kibo. Then return to Horombo for a late lunch. Spend the afternoon and evening in Horombo hut.

On the Day 4 of 6 Days Kilimanjaro hiking The landscape gets rockier and rougher as you pass kibo, everlasting flowers, and other bizarre alpine plants. Massive groundsel and lobelia appear in the arid heath. The journey to Kibo takes between five and seven hours. Passing Mawenzi Peak, you pass Last Water Point, then cross an arid, almost lunar landscape to Saddle, a vast tundra desert between the two peaks of Mawenzi and Kibo. Here you have a fantastic view of the high mountain ranges before reaching Kibo Hut (4,705m), a dry-stone hut with sleeping quarters and limited facilities.
Tonight, prepare for tomorrow's final assault - THE SUMMIT - and pack up to leave all non-essential items with porters. You have to expend all your energy to reach the top, so there's absolutely no point in wearing something you don't need! An early night is imperative as you need to start at midnight to reach the Kilimanjaro hiking summit in the morning before the cloud cover dissipates and then have time to return to the hut. Overnight at Kibo Hut for 1 night (breakfast, lunch and dinner).

On the Day 5 of 6 Days Kilimanjaro climbing Start very early in the morning (midnight to 2am) to summit over steep, heavy gravel or snow to Gilman Point on the crater rim. We continue to Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa. Incredible views are around every corner. Have your photo taken at the top to show your friends and family. From there, we dismount, stop for lunch and rest in Kibo before continuing to Horombo camp. The start of this6 Days Kilimanjaro climbing is in the dark and requires headlamps or flashlights. It will be very cold until you start descending, so you will need all your warm layers. This is by far the hardest part of the loop with many switchbacks. Going slowly "pole pole" and an optimistic attitude will get you there!
