On this Day 1 of 7 Days Kilimanjaro climbing,It takes approximately 50 minutes to drive from Moshi to the Mount Kilimanjaro National Park Gate. The journey takes you through the village of Machame, which is on the mountain's lower slopes. Now that the park gate is open, we walk up a ridge on a winding trail through the rain forest. The Kilimanjaro climbing trail may be muddy and slick further down. Here, hiking boots and trekking poles are recommended. We proceed with a brief distance until we arrive at the Machame Camp.

Now the path turns west and enters a river gorge. It is time to unwind, eat, and spend the night at the Shira campsite.

On this Day 3 of 7 Days Kilimanjaro hiking We continue to the east from the Shira Plateau by climbing a ridge up to the junction with the Kibo peak. As we continue, our course changes to the southeast, toward the "Shark's Tooth" Lava Tower. We reach the second junction shortly after the tower, where we ascend to the 16,000-foot Arrow Glacier. We now descend to the Barranco Camp at 13,000 feet elevation. We rest, have dinner, and stay the night here. Even though you finish the day at the same altitude as when you started, this Kilimanjaro hiking day is crucial for acclimatization and will assist your body in getting ready for summit day.

A night at Camp Karanga
On this Day 5 of 7 Days Kilimanjaro hiking We leave Karanga after breakfast and arrive at the junction with the Mweka Trail. We ascend until we reach the Barafu Hut. You have completed the South Circuit, which gives you a variety of perspectives on the summit. Here, we set up camp, unwind, eat, and get ready for the summit day. From this vantage point, you can see the two peaks of Mawenzi and Kibo.

An Overnight at Camp Barafu
On this Day 6 of 7 Days Kilimanjaro climbing Promptly in the first part of the day (around 12 PM), we start our push to the culmination. This is the Kilimanjaro climbing most mentally and physically taxing section. At this elevation and at this time of day, the wind and cold can be severe. We ascend in the dark for several hours, stopping for brief breaks frequently. Close to Stella Point (18,900 ft), you will be compensated with the most heavenly dawn you are ever prone to see coming over Mawenzi Pinnacle. Uhuru Peak, the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro and the continent of Africa, is our final destination. We now descend straight down from the summit to the Mweka Hut camp site, stopping for lunch at Barafu. The trail is steep and rocky, making it difficult for the knees to walk on Kilimanjaro climbing; Walking sticks are useful. Because Mweka Camp is in the upper forest, late-afternoon mist or rain is possible. We get a well-deserved night's sleep after our last meal on the mountain.

On this Day 7 of 7 Days Kilimanjaro hiking We continue our descent to the Mweka Park Gate after breakfast to collect your summit certificates. Muddy and wet conditions may exist at lower elevations. Walking sticks and gaiters can be helpful. There probably won't be much to wear (bring rain gear and warmer clothes with you). You'll need another hour to get to Mweka gate from the gate. You will be picked up by a vehicle at the Mweka gate to return to your Moshi hotel after your 7 Days Kilimanjaro hiking.
