This Great Serengeti Migration Safari 7 Day Breeding/Calving Season safari has been specially designed to focus and increase your chances of seeing the Great Serengeti Migration in the Ndutu area. We have designed a route that includes the Ndutu area, where the majority of migratory wildebeest are usually found from January to March. This route has been designed for you to drive/return to town. Arusha.
Laying usually takes place around January, February and March every year. In January, herds begin to move south into the Serengeti after the rains begin to fall. The question of how the flock knows when it's raining or not is something many people have asked and the answer is we really don't! Many say they can smell rain, others claim they can smell it when the air pressure changes. One thing we know for sure is that where it rains, the cattle follow. Within two to three weeks, more than half a million wildebeest are born and up to 8,000 wildebeest are born on the same day!
Upon arrival at Arusha / Kilimanjaro airport, your Driver-guide Burigi Chato Safaris Tanzania will pick you up and drop you off at your hotel in Arusha or Moshi Tanzania. You will settle into your accommodation, relax and get used to the African atmosphere. Ready to start your Great Serengeti Migration Safari 7 Days Breeding/Calving Season safari the next following day.
