Tarangire is fame as the “home of giants” (large baobabs and largest herds of the jumbos (African elephants)) though there is more to visiting the park than just that. The park hosts a lot of migratory big game and small animals (that migrate between Tarangire and Manyara through Kwakuchinja wildlife corridor) but also a lot of bird life including some very rare and almost indigenous only to this park like the Ashy Starlings. Other rare animals include the oryx and the gerenuk. Other common animals that can be spotted include, buffaloes, giraffes, lions, cheetahs, impalas, dikdik, leopards, gazelles, elands, hartebeests and many others.

Your professional safari guide will take you to the best wildlife spotting areas of the park including the Tarangire River which is a permanent river that works as a bloodline for the park ensuring animals flock the river banks in search for water throughout the year. Lunch will be taken at one of the picnic sites. Later in the afternoon we will drive out of the park and your guide will take you to Manyara/ Karatu in the Ngorongoro Highlands for dinner and overnight. You will explore wild and unknown territory in the southern Serengeti. Located immediately southwest of Ngorongoro Crater in the Crater Highlands of Tanzania, Lake Eyasi is one of several beautiful lakes in the East African Rift Valley. The slightly alkaline lake stretches some 50km to the southwest with the vast plains of the Serengeti to the north. Enjoy strolls along the shores of the lake and spend afternoons exploring the area, which is dotted with ancient baobab trees.

We head to the village to experience local hunting with the Hadzabe and Datonga tribes. This is not just a performance (You will then join a Hadzabe families and community, the last remaining hunter-gatherers in Africa, on a hunting expedition to see their uncanny ability to track and hunt small game!). The Bushmen rely on these techniques to survive and you must be very alert and sometimes silent when demonstrating their use of local poisons to incapacitate the poor creatures they depend on for survival.

The tribe lives along the shores of Lake Eyasi, as does the Nilotic-speaking Datoga tribe. You will visit these tribes which will include a visit to their homes, learn about their way of life, animal tracking, medicinal plants and much more. Some wildlife and a variety of bird species can be spotted on organized walks around the lake. Later in the evening, we return to Manyara/Karatu for dinner and spend the night. be arranged.

After breakfast, descend to the crater for lunch to enjoy the safari for more than 7 hours. Millions of years ago, a volcano the size of Mount Kilimanjaro rose in the highlands of northern Tanzania. Its eruption formed the world's largest non-flooded caldera, the Ngorongoro Crater. The crater, now dormant and teeming with wildlife, is a playground where you can enjoy games in search of the Big Five.

The natural protection of the 600 m (1,968 ft) high crater walls "Ngorongoro Crater" supports many species, is one of the most densely populated African wildlife sanctuaries in the world and is home to approximately 30,000 animals and this is the best place in Tanzania to watch from See endangered black rhinos. The park is watered and fed all year round, the crater is home to a variety of animals including herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, antelope, wild boar, hippo and giant African elephants.

Another major draw of this scenic national park is its huge population of predators, including lion, hyena, jackal, cheetah, and the always elusive leopard crater floor. After a picnic lunch you will have a game drive. After the game drive we drive to Manyara to spend the night.

DAY 7: DRIVE TO LAKE MANYARA (Full Day Tour) – ARUSHA

Today we drive to Lake Manyara National Park for a full day of game drives. This is one of the smaller parks in Tanzania but still offers a rewarding and varied safari experience. The shores of the lake at Manyara are teeming with birds, and if you look for them you might see one of the elusive tree-climbing lions.

The park encompasses the north-west shore and in part by alkaline Lake Manyara, which in turn rests in the Great Rift Valley. The park is perhaps best known for its flamingos, pelicans and cormorants, but it's also home to a few hundred other bird species; It is therefore a paradise for ornithologists. In addition to a large variety of birds, you can also observe the "Great Hunt". With a bit of luck you will see elephants in the forested regions and with more luck lions climbing trees.

In fact, for a long time the lake was considered Manyara National Park is the only place where lions with this atypical behavior of climbing trees. Baboons and vervet monkeys can also be found in the wooded areas, and in the more open areas, giraffes nibble on the fresh leaves, while the various species of antelope common to the region forage for tasty shoots. In the late afternoon you leave Lake Manyara National Park. Park and drive to Manyara/Karatu in the Ngorongoro Highlands for dinner and an overnight stay. We spend the night in a budget tinted lodge in Manyara/Karatu.
(Please send a special request for lodge accommodation)
There are a surprising number of other large mammals and the impressive cliffs of the Rift Escarpment provide a spectacular backdrop. We drive back to Arusha in the afternoon
