This Tanzania Big 5 Safari package aims to enable tourists to see the Big 5 animals in Tanzania's national parks. These include Lake Manyara NP, Serengeti and Ngorongoro. The term "Big 5" originally referred to the difficulty of hunting lions, leopards, rhinos, elephants and African buffaloes. These five species of large African mammals were known to be dangerous, and it was considered a feat for a trophy hunter to bring them home.
Upon arrival at Arusha/Kilimanjaro Airport, you will be picked up by your Tanzania Burigi Chato Safari Guide and transferred to your hotel in Arusha or Moshi Tanzania. Settle into your accommodation, relax and get acquainted with the African atmosphere. The next day we were ready to start his 4 days Tanzania safari to Serengeti, Ngorongoro and Lake Manyara (Tanzania BIG 5 Safari).
Arusha is a city in northern Tanzania and is the capital of the Arusha Region with a population of 416,442 and a population of 323,198 in the surrounding Arusha District. Located at the eastern end of the eastern branch of the Great Rift Valley, below Mount Meru, Arusha has a temperate climate. The city is close to the Serengeti National Park, Ngorongoro Conservation Area, Lake Manyara National Park, Olduvai Gorge, Tarangire National Park, Mount Kilimanjaro and Mount Meru Arusha National Park.

Early in the morning, you will be picked up from your hotel in Arusha town and get transferred to the airport to board your flight to Serengeti which shall depart at 7:45am. You will land at Seronera airstrip at 9:00 am. Your professional driver guide, with an open roof 4x4 safari vehicle and lunch-box, shall pick you from Seronera airstrip and go to your game drive. You will visit the fame Seronera river circuit which offers a better chance of sporting a large number of animals including the big 5.
This river sustains water all year making it available for drinking to the present species. Enjoy your lunch at a picnic site then continue with game drive at various parts of the area. In the evening dinner will be served then overnight at camp/Lodge of your choice in Serengeti Central.

Today we have a half-day wildlife safari around the Serengeti, the perfect place to marvel at the annual migration of large herds of animals at this time of year. The endless plains of the Serengeti provide an exceptional landscape for wildlife viewing; This is truly the ultimate country safari. Commonly spotted in the Serengeti are elephants, hippos, lions, zebras, wildebeest, cheetahs, leopards and many others.
Afterwards, leave the Serengeti for Ngorongoro Conservation Area as you take part in a driving game en route to Ngorongoro Campground for dinner and overnight stay in the heart of the city.

Hot Air Balloon Activities in Serengeti:
No words can describe the Serengeti's soaring experience of justice. Get a bird's-eye view of the park as you stand by the sun.
The hot air balloon ride lasts about an hour, after which passengers gather around a table, surrounded by the park's lush plains, for an 'Out of Africa' English breakfast.

Ngorongoro Crater Lodge
Ngorongoro is a special place in the sense that it is a nature reserve and not a national park. This means the entire area is farmed for both the animals and the local Maasai who graze their cattle alongside the local fauna. During the drive in Ngorongoro we have the opportunity to get a glimpse of the Maasai way of life. We drive around the rim of the crater and from here we can look down and see the herd of wildebeest or buffalo eventually descending into Crater , the floor of the world's largest continuous caldera, also called Ngorongoro Crater/ span
The Ngorongoro Crater area is home to more than 120 species of mammals including the legendary Big Five and is one of the most desirable safari destinations in the world. It is a particularly good spot to see the endangered black rhino enjoying a solitary meal on the grassy plains, as well as a spot to see large numbers of hippos enjoying the cool water.
You will spend the whole day on the crater floor going on safaris in search of animals that can be seen up close. From your open vehicle you can spot many wildlife including leopard, cheetah, hyena, jackal (silverback) and if you are lucky, you may see rare species such as caracal, leopard and black rhino. The picnic lunch will most likely be taken at the Hippo Poolside picnic area where you can also visit a restroom and then continue with afternoon game drives as you exit Ngorongoro Crater.
Later in the afternoon drive to the rim of the crater and exit the park and your guide will drive you to Karatu for dinner and overnight stay

The park encompasses the northwest shore and part of the alkaline Lake Manyara, which itself lies in the Great Rift Valley. The park is probably best known for its flamingos, pelicans, and cormorants, but it's also home to hundreds of other bird species. It is therefore a paradise for ornithologists. In addition to a wide variety of wild birds, you can also see "big game". With a bit of luck, you can see elephants in forest areas, and even better, tree-climbing lions. In fact, Lake Manyara National Park has long been thought to be the only place where lions exhibiting this atypical tree-climbing behavior can be found.
Baboons and vervet monkeys can also be seen in the woodlands, giraffes nibble on fresh leaves in the more open areas, and the region's various species of antelope forage for delicious new shoots.
Depart Lake Manyara National Park in the late afternoon then drive to the rim of the crater and exit the park and your guide will drive you to Arusha for dinner and overnight stay.
