During arrival at Arusha/Kilimanjaro Airport, you will be picked up by your Tanzania Burigi Chato Safari Guide and transferred to your hotel in Arusha or Moshi Tanzania. Settle into your accommodation, relax and get acquainted with the African atmosphere. The next day we were ready to start our 2-day Tanzania Safari (Tanzania BIG 5 Safari).

Arusha is a city in northern Tanzania and is the capital of the Arusha Region with a population of 416,442 and a population of 323,198 in the surrounding Arusha District. Located at the eastern end of the eastern branch of the Great Rift Valley, below Mount Meru, Arusha has a temperate climate. The city is close to Serengeti National Park, Ngorongoro Conservation Area, Lake Manyara National Park, Olduvai Gorge, Tarangire National Park, Mount Kilimanjaro and Mount Meru Arusha National Park.

Departing early from Arusha town around 07:30 - 08:00, you will cross the beautiful and picturesque Masai steppe to the Makuyuni junction and turn left along the Arusha - Dodoma highway towards the National Park Tarangire, one way drive will only take 2 hours at most. Arrive at the park gate in Tarangire and after your driver has done the paperwork, you start the driving game almost immediately from the gate with the aim of seeing as many animals and birds as possible.

Tarangire is known for two aspects, its tall baobab trees and larger herds of jumbo, but there's more to the park than just that. The park hosts a lot of large and small animal migration games (migrating between here and Manyara) but also many species of birds, some of which are very rare and are almost exclusively native to this park, for example like Ashy Starlings for example. Other erratic animal species include the oryx and the gerenuk. A variety of other common animals can be spotted including buffalo, giraffe, lion, cheetah, impala, dikdik, clouded leopard, antelope, eland, antelope (Kongoni) and many more.

Your expert hunting guide will take you to the best wildlife viewing areas in the park, including the Tarangire River, a permanent river that functions as the lifeblood of the park, ensuring that Animals flock to the riverbanks in search of water throughout the year. You expect to see elephants, eland, wildebeest, buffalo, zebra, gerenuk, giraffe and lots of birds. Lunch will be enjoyed at one of the picnic sites in the park. Late afternoon, you will leave the park and your guide will take you to Manyara/Karatu in Ngorongoro Highlands for dinner and overnight. Overnight in an economy tinted motel in Manyara/Karatu.

Start your day with an early morning game drive before heading to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Ngorongoro is a special place because it is a nature reserve rather than a national park. This means that the entire area is farmed for both animals that graze livestock alongside wild animals and for the local Maasai tribe. During your drive in Ngorongoro you will have the chance to see the Maasai way of life. Drive up the crater rim after stopping at the entrance gate where you have the opportunity to learn more about this fascinating volcanic landscape. The crater at the base of the world's largest adjacent caldera, also known as the Ngorongoro Crater.

Home to over 120 species of mammals, including the legendary Big Five, the Ngorongoro Crater area is he one of the most desirable safari destinations in the world. It's a particularly good place to see the endangered black rhino enjoying a solitary meal outside the grasslands, and it's also a place to see large numbers of hippos enjoying the cool water.

He spends this day on a game drive on the Crater Floor looking for animals to see up close. From a convertible, you'll see plenty of wildlife, including leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, and jackals (silverbacks). If you're lucky, you might spot rare species such as caracals, leopards and black rhinos. A picnic lunch is likely to be taken at the Hippo poolside picnic area, and you can also visit the washrooms and continue your afternoon game drive as you exit the Ngorongoro Crater. Drive around the crater rim in the late afternoon and return to Arusha where the safari ends again.
